Summary of Update:Lock flight closed due to a damaged lock gate
Effect on Powered Boats:Due to a boating incident at Lock 27 on 14 June the Deepcut / Brookwood Flight is closed until further notice. 
Effect on Towpath Users:No angling in the pound between Lock 27 and Lock 26, otherwise no effect. 
Effect on Unpowered Boats (e.g canoes/kayaks/paddleboards:Portage will be required between upstream of Lock 27 and downstream of Lock 26 due to low water levels between these locks.
Full Update:Due to a boat striking a lock gate at Lock 27, the lock is currently unsafe for public use. The Deepcut / Brookwood Lock Flight is closed for normal bookings until temporary repairs to the gate are put in place – we are estimating approx. 3 weeks.    Any boats needing to access premises in the Brookwood Pound or leave the Hampshire Pound should contact the Canal Office to discuss your requirements. Visiting boats due to leave the canal have already been contacted by the Canal Office and do not need to contact us again.
