Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024
Surrey County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(2) of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in the entire length of D70 Grange Road, Ash. This Notice is required by Surrey County Council on grounds of safety to carry out highway improvement works associated with the “Ash Road Bridge project” and/or maintenance works.
The Notice will come into effect on 02 September 2024 for a period of 21 days. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Foreman Road and Ash Church Road.
The prohibition referred to above will not apply in respect of anything done:
a) with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform
b) in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
