Do you Knit or Crochet?

Do you Knit or Crochet?

If you either knit or crochet then The Community Wellbeing Team (The Team) would like to hear from you. The Team are working on a project to remember all of the fallen of Ash from World War I by having a poppy to represent each person who died during the war. This means that they will require knitted or crocheted 112 poppies!

The Team will supply the wool they just need your time!

If you interested, want to collect wool or get a bit of guidance there will be a workshop on Tuesday 19th March (11.00am to 03:00pm) in the coffee shop at the Shawfield Centre, Shawfield Road, Ash, GU12 6QX.

Please click Peace Day Poppies for more information on this project or;

When the poppies have been knitted or crocheted local schools will then put the names of the fallen on the poppy centre and they will be displayed at the Ash Village Fete on 20th July 2019.
