Dover Garage Roundabout Delays – Junction Of Ash Hill Road & Guildford Road

I have finally received some information regarding the delays. It appears that these started at the commencement of the project as one of the contractors caused delays of 6 weeks. I also now understand that there have been issues with the levels of the surface and the design which have resulted in engineering problems. I’ve also been advised that Surrey County Council (SCC) are monitoring the situation and that there is to be a meeting at the end of this month to discuss the work currently being undertaken. I have asked to be updated after this meeting. 

During my discussion with SCC I also raised the subject of the total lack of communication regarding this project and that it wasn’t good enough to simply change the dates on the signs to show that the work was delayed. We agreed that in future I would be briefed so that I could let residents know what is going on as it is better to know the reasons for delays than just to be left in the dark.

I’ll arrange for any information I receive from SCC to be put on Ash Parish Councils website and also on social media.
