Great Big Green Week

Great Big Green Week

It’s only a few weeks until Great Big Green Week – the biggest event for climate and nature ever in the UK, and everyone’s invited!

In Guildford we have a whole bunch of really exciting events going on at various venues across the town. These include talks, flims, and seminars, workshops, the River Wey Festival, Guildford Takes The Jump, and GBC’s Car Free Day!

You can check out the itinerary for the week below. You can also visit our website for a full list of local events. Some events are ticketed, you can book your space on our website.

Events are being run by many local groups, including Zero Carbon Guildford.

ZERO Update
We were hoping we’d be able to host many GBGW events in ZERO, our new community hub in Guildford town centre. Alas, we are not quite there yet! We are very close to signing the lease on a property, which, as you read this, is being scrutinised by our solicitors. Watch this space for news on our opening!

In the meantime, we’re now recruiting volunteers! This is a great opportunity to join the ZERO team early and be part of building something really special. Most of our roles won’t start until ZERO opens, but we do need event stewards for Great Big Green Week!
