Guildford Borough Council – Local Plan

Guildford Borough Council – Local Plan

New Local Plan adopted at Extraordinary Council meeting

After a comprehensive and wide-ranging debate, the Guildford Borough Council decided on 25th April 2019  to adopt the Guildford Borough Local Plan: Strategy and Sites. There was a majority vote by 28 councillors to adopt the Local Plan, 12 voted against adoption and 4 abstained to vote.

There was a lot of public interest in the meeting and to help as many people as possible to watch the debate, Guildford Borough Council made extra space available at their town centre offices.
