Exciting News: Towpath Improvement Project at Deepcut Locks Begins Soon!

We’re pleased to announce that work is about to begin on a major project to improve the Canal towpath along the 3.4km stretch at Deepcut Locks. This initiative—funded through developer contributions—will enhance the surface condition, improve drainage, and address canal bank erosion. The result will be a more accessible and resilient path for year-round use by a wide range of visitors.

We anticipate the project will be completed by the end of the year.

During construction, sections of the towpath will need to be closed, and navigation through the Deepcut Locks is also expected to remain closed for the duration. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while we carry out these essential works.
