Summary of Update:Deepcut and Brookwood Flight (Locks 12 – 28) reopens from 19/7/2024
Effect on Powered Boats:Open – navigation through Lock 27 will remain restricted  
Effect on Towpath Users:None
Effect on Unpowered Boats (e.g canoes/kayaks/paddleboards:None – unpowered vessels portage around locks as normal
Full Update:Following an incident at Lock 27 on 14 June interim repairs have now been made to the lower gates that allow the lock to contain water sufficiently that boats may pass through.   Please note that use of Lock 27 remains restricted. All vessels passing through Lock 27 will need to be roped through with no persons on board.  Lock 27 will be operated by Lock Keeping or Ranger staff for the remainder of the season – please follow the instructions of staff for your safety.
