Full Update:
A large willow tree has fallen from the railway embankment and is currently hung up over Woodham Junction Footbridge. Network Rail have been informed, but until the tree is cleared it is not safe to pass over the footbridge. Towpath closed at Lock 1 and at entry to Junction Footbridge on the Wey Navigation side. There is unfortunately no easy alternative route to reach the River Wey Navigation towpath without diverting via the road network and Byfleet Road, New Haw or Old Parvis Road, Byfleet. Works to repair the existing tree damaged bank above Lock 1 are due to commence on Tuesday 27 August.
