Traffic Regulation Order – Blackwater Valley Road (A331) Ash

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) the entire length of the southbound exit slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road to its junction at the roundabout with (A323) Aldershot Road; (b) the entire length of the northbound exit slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road to its junction at its roundabout with (A323) Aldershot Road; (c) the entire length of the southbound entry slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction at the roundabout with the (A323) Aldershot Road to its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road; (d) the entire length of the northbound entry slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction at the roundabout with the (A323) Aldershot Road to its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road.  Alternative Route: (1) (A331) Blackwater Valley Road, (A31) Runfold Diversion, and (A331) Blackwater Valley Road; (2) (A331) Blackwater Valley Road, (A3011) Lynchford Road, and (A331) Blackwater Valley Road.  This Order is required for improvement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between 8pm and 5am, during the 18- month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
