Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Foreman Road (C18) Ash as extends from its junction with (D4034) Foreman Park to its junction with (A323) Guildford Road and (A323) Ash Church Road; (b) Ash Church Road (A323) Ash as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.2 and No.4 Ash Church Road to its junction with (A323) Guildford Road and (C18) Foreman Road; (c) Guildford Road (A323) Ash as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “White Rose” to its junction with (C18) Foreman Road and (A323) Ash Church Road. Alternative Route: (A323) Ash Church Road; Grange Road; and Foreman Road, or this route in reverse; Alternative Route For HGV: (A323) Guildford Road, (A323) Aldershot Road, (A322) Aldershot Road, (A25) Dennis Roundabout, (A3) Guildford- Godalming By-pass, (A31) Hogs Back, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A331) Blackwater Valley Road, (A323) Aldershot Road, (A323) Ash Street, and (A323) Ash Church Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to allow Section 278 development and construction works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 December 2024 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council A323 Guildford Road, A323 Ash Church Road, and C18 Foreman Road, Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 14 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure areas, and all vehicular traffic including the emergency services, will be required to follow the diversion routes. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via the marshalls on site. No Sole Access will be affected.
