Parish Councillor Helen Gorham is a member of the Conservative Party.
I was born in Aldershot and educated locally.
My first job did not excite me, neither the second. However I joined public service in 1988, leaving in 2018 in order for me to follow other interests. Some volunteering, some paid work continuing to support those who have a learning disability.
I have lived in Ash Vale since 1989 and still enjoy living in the village and the many friends who share my life. My husband and I have spent our married life in Ash Vale and consider ourselves lucky to have settled here.
The village has all we need and we support the local traders. I want now to give something back and look forward to serving our local community to be part of my “improving where we live” focus.
I really think where we live deserves some time given to make it even better.
