Transparency

The Local Government Transparency Code 2015 (the code) came in to effect on 1 April 2015. The code is issued by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government in exercise of powers under section 2 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980, and replaces all previous codes issued in relation to authorities in England under those powers.

Ash Parish Council meets the definition of a local authority covered by the requirements of the code. The code requires local authorities in England to publish the following information to ensure local people can see and access data covering; how money is spent, use of assets, decision making and issues important to local people.

  1. Local Authority Land – This information can be found in fixed assets and long term investment.
  2. Social Housing Assets – The Council has no social housing assets – not applicable.
  3. Community Grants – List of recent grants awarded can be found in Community Grants.
  4. Organisational Chart – Click here to see Council Staff.
  5. Trade Union Facility Time – The Council has no trade union representatives – not applicable.
  6. Parking Account & Parking Space – The Council has no controlled on/off street parking spaces – not applicable.
  7. Senior Salaries – No member of staff has remuneration of at least £50,000 – not applicable.
  8. Constitution – The Council’s constitution is made up of Standing Orders and Financial Regulations which can be found in Constitution (Policies).
  9. Fraud – The Council has no member of staff undertaking fraud investigations – not applicable.
