Anti-social Behaviour in Ash Recreation Ground

Anti-social Behaviour in Ash Recreation Ground

Ash Parish Council wishes to make residents aware that the Ash Centre and Recreation Ground have been subject to repeated acts of vandalism over the past few days and weeks.

We are currently working with Surrey Police to investigate these incidents and identify those responsible. While enquiries remain ongoing, concerns have been raised that some of those involved may include young people from Ash.

The incidents are reported to be occurring late in the evening and during the early hours of the morning.

We would like to remind all residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour, criminal damage, or anti-social behaviour directly to Surrey Police. Every report helps build a clearer picture of what is happening and assists efforts to identify those responsible. We encourage all parents and guardians to be aware of where their children are and to discuss with them the impact that vandalism and anti-social behaviour can have on community facilities that are enjoyed by all residents.

The continued damage to community facilities results in unnecessary repair costs and impacts amenities that are there for the benefit of all residents.

The police offer several methods for reporting crime in addition to calling 101.

To report online, visit surrey.police.uk. Here, you can utilise the Live Chat feature or complete the online reporting form if the matter is not an emergency.

Our local policing team can also be contacted via Facebook. In addition to following their page, you can ask questions through Facebook Messenger at facebook.com/GuildfordPolice.

Ash Parish Council thanks the community for its support and cooperation.
