Guildford Flood Alleviation Scheme public event on Wednesday 26 February 2025

Guildford Flood Alleviation Scheme   

You are invited to the Guildford Flood Alleviation Scheme public information event. 

The Environment Agency, Guildford Borough Council and Surrey County Council are working together to develop a scheme to reduce flood risk to homes, businesses, and infrastructure in Guildford town centre. The scheme will also improve the natural environment and build better connections between Guildford town centre and the River Wey. 

We want to hear the views of the local community and will be holding a drop-in event to share an update on our progress and the work we have been doing since our last event. Several members of the Environment Agency project team will be there to answer questions and you will be able to provide feedback.  

We are holding this event on Saturday 22 February 2025, 12pm to 5pm at the Electric Theatre, Onslow Street, Guildford GU1 4SZ. There is no need to book, please just come along at a time that suits you. We are also holding an online event on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 26 February 2025, 7.30pm to 8.30pm for anyone unable to attend the in-person event. If you are unable to attend the event, you will be able to view the event material on our website and provide feedback following the event. The online feedback form will be open until Wednesday 26 March 2025. If you would like to request a hard copy feedback form, please email us to request this.
