Ash Die Back removal – Bin Wood, part of Ash Green Meadows

An update has come into the parish council and the local councillors in advance of forthcoming works organised via The Land Trust and Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership to remove dead / dying ash trees within Bin Wood, part of Ash Green Meadows – that stand within falling distance of Byway 518 and the Christmas Pie Trail. These works are essential and have been requested by Surrey County Council as a matter of public safety. Please see attached poster for more details.

This work is scheduled to take place in September 2026 and will involve large scale machinery e.g. a forestry forwarder and some ground disturbance. The contractor will be Joe Court
