Full Update:
A technical fault has been found above the lower paddles at Lock 22 which will require BCA staff to operate the lower paddles until a further inspection has taken place and permanent repairs put in place. Towpath at Mytchett Lake will open temporarily over the Easter weekend then close again with diversion for completion of works next week. The contractors working for DfT replacing Eelmoor Bridge have given us short notice that their programme has over-run. We are now expecting the navigation and towpath to reopen on 8th April subject to satisfactory handover inspection with BCA staff. We apologise for the short notice of the continuation of this closure.
