Remembrance Day Parade and Service 2021

This years Remembrance Day Parade and Service took place on Sunday, 14 November 2021 in dry weather.

The parade from the Ash Centre to the Ash War Memorial was led by a lone piper, Ewan McDermott and the Union Flag was carried by representatives from Ash Manor Combined Cadet Force who were followed by the Chairman of Ash Parish Council, Cllr Nigel Manning, the Parish Clerk, Dennis Wheeler, the MP, Michael Gove, other Parish Councillors, representatives from the local uniformed organisations, and members of the University of the 3rd Age (U3A).

Tim Edwards marshalled the Parade and the Service was conducted by Father Keith Bristow, other members of the local clergy with the music being provided by The North East Hampshire Area School Band.

Following the service, the parade returned to the Ash Centre where the salute was taken by the Chairman of Ash Parish Council, Cllr Nigel Manning as the various contingents marched past.

Before final dispersal, Cllr Nigel Manning thanked all the individuals, groups and organizations that had contributed towards and attended the event.

Tea and coffee were then served in the Ash Centre by members of Churches Together.
