White Lane (C18) Ash
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of White Lane (C18) Ash that is crossed by the bridge known as “Ash Green Station Bridge” and for a distance of 30 metres either side. Alternative Route: White Lane, Foreman Road, (A323) Ash Church Road, (A323) Ash Street, Manor Road, The Street, Poyle Road, and White Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate bridge parapet repair works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 32 days, and to be carried out a soon as possible withing the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
