Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2025

Dear All

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of A323 Ash Church Road, Ash that extends from the north-eastern property boundary of “No.75 Ash Church Road”, to the south-eastern property boundary of “No.88 Ash Church Road”. This Temporary Order is required by Surrey County Council to facilitate civils and improvement works to be carried out within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which commences on 01 February 2025. This temporary restriction which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
