Full Update: | Heathvale Bridge, Ash Vale – SCC Bridge contractors will be shot blasting and repainting the bridge. There will be no access under the bridge for either pedestrians or boats. Access to Heath Vale Road will be maintained via the upstream facing steps. For anyone walking upstream please follow the diversion which commences at Station Approach, Ash Vale. Lock 25, Deepcut – Basingstoke Canal contractors will be rebuilding the upper paddle chambers and doing other repairs to the lock chamber. The section of canal between Lock 26 and Lock 24 will be dewatered. Farnborough Road Weir – Basingstoke Canal contractors will be replacing the sluice. A barge and limpet dam will be in the channel, all craft to stop and await contractor’s instructions to pass through the works. There will be a minor pedestrian diversion via the Wellesley Woodlands car park and the connecting paths. Sheerwater Bridge, Woking – SCC Bridge contractors will be shot blasting and repainting the bridge. There will be no access under the bridge for either pedestrians or boats. Pedestrians / cycles – please use the ramps to cross Sheerwater Road at grade. |
