Celebrating artistic talent at Guildford House Open Exhibition 2024
A celebration of talented artists from across the UK will start at Guildford House Gallery on Saturday (23 November).
The Guildford House Open 2024 Exhibition and Prize will feature both 2D and 3D work by 80 artists. Supported by leading visual art consultancy Parker Harris, the competition received over 1,000 entries from 500 artists in only its second year.
Cllr Catherine Houston, Lead Councillor for Commercial Services, says: “We’re excited to once again be working alongside Parker Harris for Guildford House Open. The competition was open to all artists, giving us the opportunity to showcase a diverse range of contemporary entries. The judging panel selected a shortlist of 87 artworks, and we can’t wait to share them with visitors to our Gallery.”
The exhibition will include paintings, sculpture, drawings, photography, textile, print and mixed media.
Penny Harris, of Parker Harris, says: “The Guildford House Open exhibition is special because it brings together the creativity of artists from all over the UK, showcasing an incredible variety of work, from painting and sculpture to photography and textiles. All artworks are available to buy – a fantastic chance to support artists and find a unique Christmas gift. It’s an inspiring exhibition not to be missed.”
The winning artist will receive a solo exhibition at Guildford House Gallery as part of their competition prize.
The exhibition will run until Saturday 1 March. Guildford House Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-4.30pm and entry is free.
