Free meal‑planning tool launches for Guildford and Waverley residents
Residents and people working in Guildford and Waverley can now access FiveDinners, a free online meal‑planning tool designed to help people save money, reduce food waste and eat healthily.
Launched jointly by Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council, FiveDinners creates personalised weekly meal plans based on household needs and preferences, making it easier to plan meals and make the most of food budgets.
With the cost of living continuing to affect households, the Councils are offering free access to FiveDinners as a practical way to support residents with everyday living, while also helping to cut food waste.
The tool is quick and easy to use and is available at no cost to anyone who lives or works in either borough.
Residents can access FiveDinners from Monday 1 June.
Cllr Carla Morson, Lead Councillor for Community, said:
“We know many households are feeling the pressure of rising food costs and are looking for simple ways to make their money go further. That’s why we’re providing free access to FiveDinners. It’s easy to use, fits into everyday life, and helps families and individuals plan affordable meals while reducing food waste.
“We’re proud to add this to the support we offer our residents at no cost. It’s now part of our wider support, alongside our community fridge, pantry and local food services that already help people across the borough eat well for less.”
