NOTICE
The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 30 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1), 14(7) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of; (a) Harpers Road (D67) Ash as extends from its junction with the access to the properties known as “Pine Cottages” to its junction with (X7413) Great Hawleys Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025”, “The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026”, and “The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.) 2026” insofar as they affected that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Harpers Road, Wyke Lane, (A323) Guildford Road, and Harpers Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Aspen Construction to carry out emergency works to repair a rising main for pumping station, relating to S278 works within the carriageway. It is anticipated that the remedial works will be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 7.30am and 4.30pm, within the 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 11 October 2026 and continues in force the provisions imposed by “The Surrey County Council Harpers Road (D67) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 21 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents and emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the diversion route, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.
