Celebrate our 60th Anniversary in Fleet next week weekend!

Our next community celebration is next weekend and there’s lots of fun in store for all.

Join us at the Fox & Hounds, Crookham Road, Fleet for one of their legendary pub BBQs on Saturday 11th July from midday! Alongside the delicious BBQ, BCS volunteers will be there to speak to and share their love of the Canal and challenge you to our buzzer game, always a winner at events.

Accessible Boating will be providing a shuttle service between the Fox & Hounds and Reading Road Bridge. Canal side at Reading Road bridge will be an archives display focussed on Hampshire and the history of the Basingstoke Canal in Fleet. In addition to the archives team, you’ll also be able to enjoy games, activities and crafts and meet the local Sea Scouts group.

If you choose to walk between the two locations, it’s a short 0.5 mile walk down the Canal path taking around 10 minutes.

Parking is limited at both Fox & Hounds and Reading Road but there’s plenty of parking in Fleet town centre including at The Hart Shopping Centre or the Harlington Centre.
