| The weather forecast is looking good, it’s time to book your Easter boat trip! Tickets are available to book online now for all the regular public and themed trips on the Basingstoke Canal Society Trip boats across the Easter weekend, or you can buy them on the day at Canal side. We have trips planned for Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday too so there’s no reason not to head on onto the Canal on this beautiful long weekend as there’s an option for everyone. Good Friday One for all the family as your Easter eggs are included for all the children! Enjoy a 2.5-3 hour cruise in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. With a licensed bar on board, what better way to start the Bank Holiday weekend.  Saturday Kitty’s Cream Tea cruise from Woking still has spaces remaining. What could be better than tea and scones on the canal over the long sunny weekend. Easter Sunday Whether you’re based in Surrey or Hampshire, there is a trip boat for you this Easter Sunday with trips running on Kitty from Woking town Wharf and on the John Pinkerton II from Colt Hill Wharf in Odiham. Visit the Old Thatch Cottage, Winchfield by boat Sunday 12th April On this very popular trip, you will join the boat at Odiham for a cruise to Stacy’s Bridge. Leave the boat here for a short walk to Old Thatch Cottage, whose garden is open for charity in the National Garden Scheme, raising money for Sebastian’s Action Trust. Rejoin the boat after you have been around the garden. You will have approximately 2 hours to explore. Fish and Chip lunchtime cruise Wednesday 22nd April Enjoy a lunchtime cruise along the beautiful Basingstoke Canal, with a fish and chip lunch included.
