Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025”

“The Surrey County Council D4045 Lynchford Road and D4045 Lysons Avenue, Ash Vale Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” which was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or were proposed to be executed on, or near, the above mentioned road and came in to operation on 14 May 2025, was due to expire on 13 May 2026 and which prohibits all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of D4045 Lynchford Road and D4045 Lysons Avenue, Ash Vale that is crossed by the North Camp Station level crossing and for a distance of 20m either side has been extended by Surrey County Council until 13 November 2026.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Centurion and/or Network Rail to carry out signals and/or telecoms and/or level crossing maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am, over 2 nights of the additional 6 month period of operation of the Temporary Order, which commenced on 14 May 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, anticipated dates for works are 20 May 2026 to 21 May 2026 and 21 May 2026 to 22 May 2026. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the signed vehicular diversion route: – Lynchford Road, North Camp Station Roundabout and Lysons Avenue. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the footway to Lynchford Road and Lysons Avenue.
