 Title Of Update:Navigation restrictions at: 1.  Ash Lock closed for one day 23.04.26 2.  Lock 22 (Deepcut lock flight) continued

 Area(s) Affected:Ash Lock  
 Summary of Update:Ash Lock closed on 23.04.26 for one day to enable removal of a vessel.  The technical fault with Lock 22 continues, BCA staff to operate lower paddles. Mytchett Lake & Eelmoor Bridge have reopened. 
 Effect on Powered Boats:1.   Ash Lock and area in front of Ash Lock Cottage closed. 2.   Lower paddles at lock 22 can only be operated by BCA staff until further notice. 
  Effect on Towpath Users:None. 
  Effect on Unpowered Boats(e.g. canoes/kayaks/paddleboards:1.Portage around Ash Lock. 
  Full Update:1.  Ash Lock and navigation in front of Ash Lock Cottage will be closed for one day (23.04.26) to allow for a contractor to remove a vessel from the navigation. The operation is expected to be completed within one day. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 2.  The technical fault with the lower paddles at Lock 22 is ongoing and BCA staff will continue to operate the lower paddles until further notice.
